Tijdens deze reis ontdekten wij hoe moeilijk het was om authentieke stukken te vinden tussen de talloze replica&#8217;s en massaal geproduceerde reproducties die de internationale markt domineren.<\/p><p>Gedreven door die uitdaging hebben wij ons toegelegd op het opbouwen van betrouwbare relaties met handelaren, ambachtslieden en specialisten in heel Japan. In de loop der jaren hebben wij ons verdiept in de studie van Nihont\u014d, T\u014ds\u014dgu, samoeraiharnassen en de Japanse geschiedenis. Daarbij leerden wij niet alleen authentieke stukken te herkennen, maar ook hoe deze op een verantwoorde en respectvolle manier kunnen worden verkregen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div c. 1532\u20131558.\n\nA substantial 71.2 cm signed blade from the Mino tradition, forged in refined ko-itame hada with an active nioi-based hamon and classical proportions. Masatoshi belonged to the distinctive Sakakura Seki branch and his work shows interesting technical affinities with the neighbouring Muramasa tradition.\n\nCertified NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon, with the signature \u6b63\u5229 authenticated, and accompanied by an exceptionally early original Niigata torokusho from 1951.
